Training
Beginning in the Fall of 2007 we will be offering 2 levels of training:
Level I Training will be facilitated by our Technical Trainer, Paul Hansen. This training will cover how to set up the equipment and maneuver successfully through the various Classroom3tm simulations. Level I training is usually 1 on 1, and can be scheduled before or after school, during your prep, or whenever is convenient for you. But that's not all. The Technical Trainer will come to your class when you are presenting the Classroom3tm lessons, just to be there in case of any technical difficulty. Or, if you would be more comfortable, the Technical Trainer can run the technology while you teach the lesson. Since Paul is a certified teacher, he can even teach the lesson to show you how the Classroom3tm technology can be integrated.
'You can't fail, we won't let you.'
Level II Training will be facilitated by the Development Team members. Beginning in August, the workshop described below will be available to all Rock Island/Milan teachers. It will be facilitated by members of the Classroom Cubed Initiative Development Team: Lynne Brandenburg, Rita Greathouse, Karen Meyer, Teri Stickler, Linda Taylor, Carol VanDeWalle, and Karen Bibee. This workshop will address sound instructional practices for teaching, including the use of Classroom3tm simulations. Below is the synopsis of the workshop:
Classroom Cubed Initiative and Beyond
Engage students and expand their technological learning experience. Discover activities that motivate and develop strategies for problem-solving and critical thinking. A selection of ideas and resources, available in the "Teacher Tips" guide, will be shared.
Level II Training will be comprised of one 2 hour workshop each semester. These workshops can be accomplished on early dismissal days with one hour on school time and one hour on personal time. Schools can be clustered and CPDU credits can apply.
