ATTENTION SENIORS!
The following scholarships are now available in the Guidance Office:
For the month of September 2008

**Acorn Equality Fund Scholarship
Supports students who are, or children of, gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered. Two separate scholarships. Deadline October 5th.

**Horatio Alger Scholarship
(online only: www.horatioalger.org/scholarships)US citizen and a 2.0 GPA. Intend on pursuing a bachelor‚s degree. Awards from $1000- $20,000. Deadline October 30th.

**Charitable Foundation (USA) and Ron Brown Scholarship
Open to academically talented, highly motivated African-American students who plan to attend college full-time. Complete application, 1000 word essay, two letters of recommendation, and transcript. Submit by Nov. 1 for both scholarships or Jan. 9 for Ron Brown Scholarship only. Apply at www.ronbrown.org

**Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarship
(Apply on-line)Student or parent must be employed at a new car dealership for greater than one year. Essay and recommendation from the dealership required. Deadline January 5th to Counseling Office. Apply on line at www.cfgrb.org

**National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Multiple scholarships for students who study political science, history, government, economics, nursing, law or music. See application for more details. Deadline is February 1
