TJ Students Honored by IPA

On Thursday, April 17, the Illinois Principals Asssociation held its annual Student Leadership Breakfast at the Stoney Creek Inn, Moline.  Sixth graders Issac Katzenburger and Victoria Eastman were recongized at the breakfast for their leadership at Thomas Jefferson.  Principal Mike Nitzel commented, "Issac and Victoria are excellent role models for their friends and peers at TJ.  They do an excellent job of following and modeling our Five Skills For Life.  I'm proud to recognize them for their efforts."  Victoria and Issac each received a plaque and certificate from the IPA.  Victoria was joined at the breakfast by her mother and father, while Issac was accompanied by his mother.  Those in attendance heard an excellent talk about the importance of leadership from the daughter of the founder of Happy Joe's Pizza, Ms. Chryastal Whitty Erasan.  Congratulations Victoria and Issac!
